Stack Molding

 

Compared to conventional single-face molds, stack molds can virtually double the output of an injection molding machine by distributing the plastic melt into two or more separate mold parting surfaces.

Internal Valve Gates

The Rheo-Pro® iVG™ is an internal actuated valve gate system with no external cylinder and no elastomeric seals. It requires no cooling. iVG™ represents the latest and most innovative valve gate technology in the industry and is ideal for compact, reliable stack mold solutions.

iVG internal valve gate nozzles are extremely durable, low maintenance and front-serviceable from the parting line.

Easy Access

All nozzle components are easy to access from the front of the A plate while the mold remains inside the machine. This can be done quickly using standard tools.

Ultimate Reliability

Rheo-Pro® iVG™ nozzles perform even under the most demanding processing conditions. Unlike electric valve gates and conventional pneumatic cylinders, that can fail in extremely hot operating environments, cooling-free valve gates perform at temperatures up to 400°C. iVG™ hot runners do not require any seals, hoses, tubes, belts, motors, or cooling, making them the most durable and maintenance friendly valve gate system available.

The versatile range of iVG™ nozzles and Black Box™ actuators opens up new possibilities for cost effective production with all stack mold and tandem mold applications. In addition to back-to-back valve gating, the new technology can also be used inside a stack mold as a simple and reliable way to transfer melt from the stationary mold to the first parting line. The larger iVG30 nozzle can be extended and comes with melt bore diameters up to 20 mm. This is an easy and effective way to double production of large and heavy weight parts.
